Autumn Perspective
Releasing old wounds is easier said than done but it’s
absolutely worth just dropping the heavy sad old stories, even just for a
moment, and seeing who we are when free of those burdens.
Perhaps you’ll choose
to not pick them up again.
Realising that you have this choice is Freedom!
Move:
My body is craving yoga, yoga and more yoga as we move into
cooler evenings and mornings. A bit of stale achey energy creeps into my joints,
especially after too much sitting (the new smoking after all) and just a few
minutes of gentle intuitive yoga helps me feel brand new.
Always bring it back to the Body-&-Breath. Simple and
profoundly transformative.
Meditate:
Absolutely the cure-all as we enter a season of increased
susceptibility to the cold and flu viruses that are always hanging about, to say nothing of SAD. If
you can bring some stillness into your day (and you can!) you will find your
immune system boosted, to say nothing of your patience levels and general sense
of well-being.
By the way, you can meditate any time, anywhere…and should. Just
begin it. Right here. Right now.
Watch your breath.
Watch your thoughts.
Watch your emotions.
Lightly lightly
Let them go.
Make:
Time to press some Autumn Leaves, go mushroom hunting (but make sure you know which are edible), enjoy knitting some woolen scarves, beanies, mittens or socks. Just have fun!
