What a splendiferous weekend!
Started out with a killer 30th birthday party (happy happy to lovely Liesa), then a delightful Saturday spent at the
Nan Hua Buddhist Temple, about an hour East of Pretoria. Love that place! I can highly recommend their retreats -- yummy pure earth (ie. organic) Chinese vegetarian food, peaceful setting, heavenly meditations with smiling monks and nuns. All too lovely.
Sunday was all good too, visited my mom-in-law and shared some laughs.
Drove my gran to the airport. My great-grandfather has passed on after a looooooong life. He always had the best sense of humour, but when we saw him a couple of weeks ago in Cape Town, he didn't want to put on his glasses or hearing aid and didn't recognise us. On parting he said: "Nice to have met you."
