Note to self...

When feeling glum, don't watch 'Sylvia.' The movie about Sylvia Plath's life. And that's not just because it isn't very good. I used to have this picture of Sylvia and Ted Hughes on my wall as a teenager. I love the over-exposure on Sylvia's blouse, her radiant face and Ted's hand seems so large, possessive, while his face is slightly in shadow. A powerful image of two intriguing poets.
