Connecting

This past week at Flow was about truly connecting with our bodies and being kind to ourselves.

I highly recommend this beautiful talk by Tara Brach:

Quick Public Service Announcement:
Remember that you can download podcasts on your cellphone when you're around wi-fi and listen to them at your leisure - while sitting in traffic, taking a stroll or getting ready in the morning.
You never have to listen to someone else's choice of programming or endless ads in this information age. Of course this has proven problematic with the waves of #fakenews and reactionary often violent behaviour that can result. But the opposite is also true. You can ride the wave of inspiration and "be the change you want to see in the world." I have even tried my hand at podcasting! Here are three of my Flow sessions as podcasts

I believe that peace begins with a non-violent approach to our own bodies (including the emotional and mental bodies, not just the physical).
So this week we really tapped into our individual knowing and worked so gently with whatever arose.

More and more I trust this sentiment in our work at Flow:

Our three sessions this week were completely different as we trusted that each body has it's own integrity and that we can absolutely go with what is needed in that moment. No need to impose any rigid preconceptions of any kind. (We Flow every week Mondays & Fridays 8:30-10am, Tuesdays 6-7:30pm, monthly Saturdays)

On Monday we used qi gong to work on the Bladder and Kidney meridians.
Here's one of the beautiful practices we implemented. We also worked with the acupressure points and breath.

On Tuesday we surprised ourselves and truly slipped into a joyful Flow with some delicious vegan ice cream (kindness to all living things) and the glorious "Loving Vincent."

On Friday we worked very intuitively with what came up in the circle and really enjoyed the healing vibration of mantra, a divine feminine meditation, then created something rather magical together. Each of the pieces spoke clearly to each one of us individually, but in combination there was something above and beyond the "little me." This is why I LOVE this work. It truly is revelatory and transformative.

It was such a joyful week as I started volunteering a Flow session per week to the Bhongolethu Foundation teachers and volunteers ~ what a delightful group! We shared some giggles and beautiful connection.

Thanks to one and all!
