In the palm of your hand

For some reason many divinatory practices emerged this week, even though I'm not a believer in fortune telling per se. I prefer to think that each one of us is our own guru and that to look for guidance outside of ourselves is to deny our own true Knowing.

However, working with these modalities did raise my awareness of all sorts of signs and wonders.
There really is magic all around!

Plus it's fun ;)

We began by drawing a tarot card each and what they had to say seemed very resonant indeed.
If you're interested in Tarot here's a handy (see what I did there) page.

Palmistry/an exercise in mindfulness:
Inspired by the wonderful  Mindfulness & the Art of Drawing
Paint the lines on your palms with a watery paint brush.
Take your time tracing the Heart, Head and Life lines.

Notice the difference between the dominant and non-dominant (inherited traits) palms.
Watch the water evaporate.

Now using watercolours: paint a line the length/texture/colour of each inhalation and exhalation.
Don't get ahead of your breath. Stay in the moment focusing on the tip of the paintbrush.
I can highly recommend having a look at this artist's beautiful project of tracing his breath for a solid 15 hours.

We used our paintings to create our own inspirational cards that future Flow-ers can draw from.
And they're the best thing ever!

As always my heart is FULL from the rich sharing, the joyous movement, the blissful meditation.
So many insights gained this week and absolute trust in the process.

Thank you Izzy for sharing this song that allowed us to hula hoop in the warm waters that nourish, cleanse & buoy us all up.
